Nov 5 CT Scan

For a whole bunch of reasons I was not able to be with Billy for this appointment. Which was a bummer because we also did not get the virtual follow-up that was promised.  Two days after the procedure I received and call from another doctor on Dr. Culicchia’s team. Dr. Taylor introduced herself  and took the same approach to the list as Dr. Culicchia did last month asking how Dave and I see Billy’s progress. I replied that we had seen the slightest bit of improvement. He is beginning to track us with his eyes if we move from one side of the bed to the other while we are talking to him.

Dr. Taylor’s reported that compared to last month’s visit Billy’s ventricles are larger. Which I guess is a good thing. The next step now is to get him back to the hospital for a couple of hours  so they can “turn down the resistance of the shunt” and drain more fluid. This should reduce more pressure and we should  see more of his presonality return.  They would observe him for a few hours and then return him to Ferncrest.

With our luck, they‘ll schedule do this procedure for November 13, when Dave and I will be in front  of a judge finalizing the Interdiction Proceedings that will allow us to manage  his finances,  lead matters,  ect. At or around that time. Billy's will receive the money from the insures companies. That could be the only legal matters that take place this year. Dave and I decided to postpone the trial against the driver of the hit-and-run accident as recommended by the District Attorney because she felt that more evidence is needed in order to win the the case. A new investigation has been opened.

He is still struggling with so much/many secretions in his chest.

Dave and I continue our search for a place for Billy closer to home.
